Information Alert: California Prisons, Post-Partisanship, and the Death of Democracy

Laura Magnani, Assistant Regional Director for Justice for the American Friends Service Committee, co-author of Beyond Prisons: A New Interfaith Paradigm for Our Failed Prison System, and a former FCL lobbyist, has written an Op-Ed on the so-called prison "reform" package recently signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger.
 
The Op-Ed, titled "California Prisons, Post-Partisanship, and the Death of Democracy," was published today by the California Progress Report.
