Help pass The California Universal Healthcare Act!
Dear FCL Supporter,
A key vote on Senate Bill 840, The California Universal Healthcare Act, by Senator Sheila Kuehl (D-Santa Monica), will be taking place Thursday, May 31, in the Senate Appropriations Committee, after which the bill will to go to the Senate Floor.
SB 840 is the only legislative proposal which offers universal healthcare to all California residents. By creating a single-payer system, SB 840 will reduce wasteful overhead and redirects the savings to the provision of healthcare services.
