Support FCL Today

Your contribution makes a difference

With your ongoing support, FCL is making California a better place. Your contribution enables the Friends Committee on Legislation Education Fund to educate state lawmakers and the public about ways to promote nonviolence, justice and respect for the worth of every individual. Please donate now.

We rely on the generosity of concerned citizens to continue making a difference. A non-profit public-benefit organization established in 1984, the FCL Education Fund improves public understanding of the legislative process and of current issues before the state legislature through workshops and forums, as well as research and publication of pamphlets, fact sheets, and web-pages.

Your ongoing support enables FCL to continue making California's government more compassionate and effective for everyone.

Your contributions to the Friends Committee on Legislation Education Fund are tax-deductable to the extent provided by Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code.

You can also make a contribution to FCL's political lobbying work, which is separate from the Education Fund. Donations to help FCL make a difference through direct lobbying are crucial to our continued success, though they are not tax deductible.

About the Education Fund

The Education Fund supports FCL staff for research and education activities, speeches to student groups studies of the legislative process, advice to other non-profit public interest groups working for social justice, orienting student interns, supervising research, and preparation of booklets and pamphlets.

The Education Fund recognizes that empowering grass-roots organizations and helping them find a sense of shared purpose with existing organizations can enable all public interest organizations in Sacramento to work more effectively.

The FCL Education Fund's work is based on the Quaker belief that there is that of God in every person, that each person is endowed with worth and dignity and that the social, economic and political aspects of life should be conducted with utmost concern for the individual.

Literature produced by the FCL Education Fund includes the following:

Lobbying State Government - A booklet describing the legislative process and offering effective ways for you or your organization to be heard by your legislators. It is used by several organizations who organize lobby days in Sacramento. ($2 donation includes postage and handling.)
